Tom is CEO of First Mutual Holding Co., the largest member-owned mutual holding company of its kind in the Midwest, with affiliate banks including First Federal Lakewood and First Mutual Bank. Tom is also a board member of both affiliate banks.
 
Tom was president and CEO of First Federal Lakewood until 2018 and also served as EVP/COO and Chief Lending Officer for the bank. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to his tenure with First Federal Lakewood, he was senior vice president of Westfield Bank. He also held positions of increasing responsibility with the former National City Bank and was a consultant and senior analyst with Andersen Consulting.
 
Tom holds both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University.
 
As a seasoned financial services leader, Tom can provide insight and expertise across the banking landscape, including: executive strategy, operations, compliance, product development, sales, community banking, and mutuality.

Timothy E. Phillips | President & CEO
Tim is the president and CEO of First Federal Lakewood, the largest independent depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio. Tim holds responsibility for the sales and operations, as well as enhancing the bank’s commitment to the customers and communities it serves.
 
Tim is a seasoned financial services industry veteran who offers a unique combination of banking expertise and commitment to the mutual form of banking. As a Northeast Ohio native, he is dedicated to helping our communities and businesses thrive.

Throughout his more than 25-year career in banking, Tim has served in leadership roles for financial institutions across Ohio, most recently as president of Westfield Bank.  

Phillips holds a master’s degree from University of Akron and a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He has served as a board member for many civic and community organizations, including the American Red Cross, Medina Creative Housing and Highland School Foundation. He is a past chair for the Medina Hospital Foundation and is currently a director for the Medina Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospital.

Paul is Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $1.6 billion.

Paul’s executive leadership role encompasses several areas, with his primary responsibility being to oversee credit functions across First Federal Lakewood. He also provides oversight of legal, risk, compliance and various operational matters at First Federal Lakewood.
 
Paul joined First Federal Lakewood in 2009 as Vice President before assuming his current role in 2014. Previously, he held leadership positions for several publicly traded companies, including Forest City Enterprises and NVR, Inc. (dba Ryan Homes). He has held positions as an attorney with Siegel, Siegel, Johnson and Jennings and as Land Acquisition Manager with the K. Hovnanian Companies. Paul also worked in the non-profit sector as Director of Development for the Historic Gateway District in Downtown Cleveland.
 
Paul holds a joint law degree and master’s degree in history from Cleveland State University and a bachelor’s degree from Miami University.

Nancy is Senior Vice President, Digital Innovations Officer at First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $1.6 billion.

In this role, Nancy leads the bank’s digital delivery strategy, overseeing and managing all electronic banking products and services. Her responsibilities include identifying emerging technologies that can enhance the digital delivery of First Federal Lakewood solutions and evaluating ways to better connect and serve customers. Nancy leads projects related to online and mobile banking, mobile payments, telephone banking, and debit/ATM cards.

Nancy joined First Federal Lakewood in 2010 after 20 years at Fairfield County Bank in Ridgefield, Connecticut, where she held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she was Vice President of Electronic Banking and Call Center Operations at Fairfield County Bank. She has also held positions in retail banking, training and marketing. In addition, Nancy was an instructor for the American Bankers Association, teaching several courses for bank employees in Connecticut. She also worked for American Express in New York City for 10 years.

Nancy holds a master’s degree in management from Albertus Magnus College and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Marshall University. She is currently a member of the Fiserv Strategic Planning Council and the Digital Banking Leadership Council.

Carl is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $1.6 billion.

In his role as CIO, Carl leads the technology team through transformation, driving the adoption of shared services, and developing and deploying solutions across the enterprise to better serve. In addition, he is instrumental in identifying innovative technologies that enhance the way First Federal Lakewood can deliver products and services to customers and the community.

A seasoned technology veteran, Carl has nearly 25 years of experience in technology-related roles in the security and financial services industries. Prior to joining First Federal Lakewood in 2013, he established the enterprise shared services platform at First Niagara Bank in Buffalo, New York, as Director of Shared Services, Architecture & Development. He also led both enterprise architecture and security architecture teams at PNC Bank and the former National City Bank, and served as a technology consultant for SunTrust Bank in Atlanta.

Carl received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University. He holds a GIAC Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC) through the SANS Institute.

Columbus Market President
Michael J. Lamping | Columbus Market President
Mike is the Columbus Market President at First Federal Lakewood, the largest independent depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio. In this role, Mike will focus on building commercial relationships, deposit generation, optimizing our facilities and market presence and ultimately bringing a full line of products to Columbus. He brings with him extensive experience in financial services and community banking.
 
 Mike was most recently the Central Ohio President for Indiana-based Horizon Bank. Previously, he spent more than 20 years as a Director and CEO of several community banks. He started his professional career in public accounting, where he spent 15 years as a CPA and Partner with Crowe. Mike specialized in financial institutions and provided a wide spectrum of audit, tax and consulting services to commercial bank clients.
 
He received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. Mike has extensive experience with all aspects of commercial banking.

Brian is Senior Vice President, Corporate Governance & Risk Officer at First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $1.6 billion.

In this role, Brian oversees governance, risk, internal audit and compliance. Brian is responsible for implementing and maintaining best practices for risk management across all lines of business. He works within internal and external requirements to identify, develop and implement process improvements and provide risk oversight for the bank with an emphasis on quality, sustainability and corporate consistency.

Prior to joining First Federal Lakewood in 2016, Brian was the Wealth Chief Risk Officer at FirstMerit Corporation (now a part of Huntington Bank) before being promoted to Enterprise Risk Director, where he developed the overall strategy of the enterprise risk management and operational risk management programs. He also was a Compliance Manager at Key Bank and an Audit Specialist at National City Bank (now a part of PNC).

Brian received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Youngstown State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baldwin Wallace University.

Jen is Senior Vice President and Chief Communications & Culture Officer of First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $1.6 billion.
 
In this role, Jen is responsible for ensuring the success of marketing, communications and employee/human relations activities for the bank, including building, sustaining, and managing the bank’s culture and reputation. 
 
Prior to joining First Federal Lakewood in 2013 as Vice President of Marketing, Jen was principal and co-owner of Ardent Communications Group, a strategic communications firm specializing in marketing, communications and public relations. She was also an Account Executive with KeyBank and Marketing Director for several commercial real estate firms, including Urban Retail Properties and The Jacobs Group.
 
Jen received a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Ohio University. She is involved in a number of community activities, including having served on the board for Lakewood Catholic Academy for six years. She is a member of LakewoodAlive and co-founder of Light Up Lakewood.

Dave is Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary of First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $1.6 billion. In this role, he oversees deposit operations and facilities, and leads bank acquisition/integration efforts.

Dave joined the bank in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including: Chief Savings Officer, Chief Security Officer and Vice President of Retail Banking. Prior to First Federal Lakewood, Dave held positions at Transohio Savings Bank and the former Citizens Federal Savings and Loan.

Dave received a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Cleveland State University. He has also completed the acclaimed Academy for Financial Executives at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. 

With extensive financial services industry experience, Dave can provide expertise across many banking areas, including operations, mutuality, residential and commercial lending, sales and marketing, retail banking, and compliance.

Mary Ann is President, Fee Based Business of First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $1.6 billion. In this role, Mary Ann oversees the expansion of wealth management and other fee-related business activities.
 
Mary Ann is an experienced financial services executive with more than two decades of banking leadership in the Cleveland market. She joined First Federal Lakewood in 2013 as Senior Lender for Commercial Banking and has also served as Senior Vice President, Residential Lending. Previously, she was Chief Credit Officer for Park View Federal Savings Bank and President and CEO of Shorebank Enterprise Cleveland. She also held positions of increasing responsibility with FirstMerit Bank and the former National City Bank.
 
She received a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Mary Ann has been involved in numerous civic and community leadership roles. She is currently a board member with United Way Services of Geauga County, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio and the Ohio Bankers Foundation.
 
With extensive industry experience, Mary Ann can provide expertise on a wide variety of topics, such as commercial and residential lending, credit services, underwriting, portfolio management, private banking, branch management and sales.
